Autumn brings the close of open studios season, when artists and makers welcome the public into their work spaces to see behind the scenes, talk to them about their work and buy or commission an original piece. You’ll meet everything from printmakers, painters, jewellers, ceramicists and photographers to upcyclers, textile designers, furniture makers, sculptors and illustrators. Great for early Ch****mas shopping. (No, we can’t bring ourselves to say it either.)
The annual WASPS Courtyard Studios Open Weekend on Irvine’s Harbourside features work by artists and makers who share studio space in one of Ayrshire’s main art hubs.
