Edinburgh’s Open Eye Gallery is exhibiting two shows during the city’s sadly Festival-free festival period.
An exhibition of new works by internationally acclaimed painter and printmaker Barbara Rae CBE RA showcases a Scottish artist whose landscapes are conveyed through vivacious colour, composition and line, and having been exhibited worldwide, earning wide acclaim. The works featured are inspired by Rae’s recent expeditions to the Arctic Circle, following the Northwest Passage and focusing on the region’s stark and captivating topography.
A concurrent group exhibition, Festival Spirit: Selected Artists, featuring several of the prestigious gallery’s artists, specially-selected for exhibition, is also available to view.
