Scottish artist Nichol Wheatley has had a varied career after graduating from Glasgow School of Art, among other things running Perfect Circle Art, a commercial fine art company: in 2016 he staged his first show of paintings and has since then made his living from his art and his work as an artist in other contexts, becoming known for his cycle of murals depicting Robert Burns’ Tam o’Shanter, his collaborations with the late Alasdair Gray, musicians including Paul Buchanan, and film-makers, on Trainspotting 2 and Outlaw King. He is a member of the Unikely Clan, a loose grouping of figurative painters.
