The Gallery Melrose has opened a new extension, expanding its offering of original art for sale.
Following a busy first few months, and gearing up for Melrose’s forthcoming tourist season, The Gallery Melrose, in the Scottish Borders, which opened in November last year, has already expanded. Making the most of the natural light available from a large skylight window, owners, Iain Loudon and David Wallace, have developed a room at the rear of the premises that provides an ideal space for presenting collections of work, and exhibitions by arrangement.
The area creates an addition 300 sq ft of wall space for original art works. Currently more than 50 artists using a variety of mediums as well as a prime collection of quality prints are on display. The shop also offers works by potters, jewellers, sculptors, wood carvers and glass makers.
