Wild Moments at the Scottish Ornithologists’ Club in Aberlady, East Lothian features three up-and-coming wildlife artists who are all winners of a Society of Wildlife Artists bursary. All three take an experimental or unusual approach to their work, which includes a strong narrative element. Adele Pound portrays wildlife through graphic stories, while Lorna Hamilton (whose work is shown) and Melanie Mascarenhas have created series which attempt to capture sounds and movement in paint. The resulting works present wildlife in a wider context, that of multi-dimensional landscapes. The Club is a charity promoting the study, protection and enjoyment of wild birds in Scotland.
