Fidra Fine Art‘s next exhibition Colour Palettes, West to East features four artists from Scotland’s western side who are distinctively colourful, employing their palettes in differing and distinctive ways – Carol Dewart, Jennifer Irvine, Hazel Nagl and Jacqueline Orr artists studied drawing and painting at Glasgow School of Art (GSA) in the 1970s and 1980s. The women are all friends, and according to Orr can be deemed Colourists in their approach, but each exhibiting differing aspects of that genre.
The gallery will be open for walk-ins from 11-5pm on the opening Saturday. Note access is subject to current Covid restrictions. All work is available to view and purchase on the website and the gallery is happy to reserve any pieces over the opening weekend until the opportunity arises to visit.
