Following playwright Rona Munro and director Laurie Sansom’s James I, II and III for the National Theatre of Scotland, which followed three generations of Stewart kings who ruled in the 15th century, the duo returns with James IV – Queen of the Fight, with performances in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness and Stirling.

Scotland in 1504 is seen through the eyes of new arrivals Ellen and Anne – two Moorish women who turn up to take their places at the wrong royal court and must now fight to find and keep a place in the dangerous court of James IV, where war is never far away and words of love and promises of peace are not what they seem.
