Sunday 11th March | 1pm – 5pm
Set in the magnificent grounds of Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park, House for an Art Lover combines an art gallery and exhibition space, café, multipurpose artists’ studios and magnificent visitor attraction into one unique and inspiring venue. Originally designed by Scottish architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh in 1901 as an elegant country retreat for a person of taste and culture, today, more than 110 years later, House for an Art Lover exists to stimulate public interest in art, design and architecture. Through its studios, exhibitions, scholarships and access to learning for all ages, it has widened Mackintosh’s original vision to make House for an Art lover a house for everyone.
What better place to celebrate Mother’s Day (Sunday 11th March) then, than the unique surroundings of the Mackintosh Suite at House for an Art Lover? The beautifully appointed Music Room will host an afternoon tea, serving up hand cut sandwiches, delicious sweet treats and scones fresh from the oven with jam & cream and will be accompanied by a chilled glass of Prosecco (or Fruit Presse) and of course freshly brewed tea or coffee.
Tables are available from 1pm. Please call 0141 353 4770 and speak to a member of the events team to place your booking.
