Edinburgh’s progressive Italian fine dining experience, Mono, has launched a casual enoteca menu for 2019. Designed to be enjoyed at the bar, preferably with a glass of wine. The new menu features tasty morsels of some of the restaurant’s favourite modern, Italian infused dishes and ingredients which have been designed to introduce diners to the sophisticated side of the country’s cuisine – a tasty tour of Italy’s very best produce and regional gastronomy.
Mono, located in Edinburgh’s Old Town just minutes from Princes Street and the Royal Mile, is the only restaurant in Scotland offering this style of innovative Italian inspired cuisine and has quietly been wowing the city’s discerning diners since it opened in summer 2018. This February Michelin trained Executive chef Maciek Zielinski and Italian owner Joe Crolla extended their offering with the launch of the enoteca menu for the restaurant’s wine bar – small delicious plates designed to be enjoyed throughout the day (from midday) and suited to sharing and counter-top dining.
To accompany the enoteca menu is a wine list that champions multi-awarded, artisanal, independent growers, organic, biodynamic, sustainable and natural producers and lesser known grape varieties. The wines represent Italy with a real sense of authenticity and place. There are also a number of unique non-Italian wines including exclusive and rare editions available by the glass – perfect for matching the enoteca menu.
The new menu is a must try going into spring.
