Michael Clark: Cosmic Dancer at the V&A Dundee is the first exhibition dedicated to the ground-breaking Aberdeenshire-born dancer and choreographer, who will be 60 years this year. Clark studied at the Royal Ballet School in London before becoming one of the leading figures in British dance, with his own company. Originally staged at the Barbican Centre in London, the exhibition explores how Clark’s work was influenced by punk, fashion and club culture. Featuring films, sculptures, paintings and photographs, it showcases his collaborations with film-makers Peter Greenaway and Derek Jarman, fashion designers Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen and musical acts like Wire and Scritti Politti.
