The last two years have been difficult for new art graduates, with degree shows appearing online only and opportunities to show work even more limited than usual. This annual showcase of work by new graduates from all five of Scotland’s art schools, which has not happened for two years, showcases the graduates of 2020, some of whom have never had an opportunity to exhibit their work ‘in real life’.

The show brings together painting, sculpture, film-making, photography, printmaking, installation, performance and architecture. The RSA curators work with artists to display each piece at its best, whether work from their graduation show or new work made since. The work will also be for sale, giving the public a chance to support 57 artists who had the bad luck to “emerge” in one of the toughest years in recent decades.
