The 2026 edition of Spring Fling is Scotland’s largest open studios weekend, with 111 studios – more than ever before – throughout Dumfries & Galloway opening their doors to the public so that artists can ‘meet and greet’ visitors in their workplaces and discuss and demonstrate their methods. They will also have a huge range of works in various media for sale.

The event is free and extends throughout Dumfries & Galloway – attracting thousands of visitors to meet artists and makers of every kind working in one of Scotland’s most beautiful rural regions.

In all, the range encompasses painting, printmaking, jewellery, photography, furniture, glassmaking and ceramics, handmade chef knives, carved wooden mobiles, decorative metalwork, installation art, tapestry, costume and hats. The event is organised by Community Interest Company Upland CIC.

Commissioned and delivered by Upland CIC, Spring Fling is asking for feedback, inviting visitors to fill-in an online survey, with art vouchers and prizes available to win.
