Part of the 50th anniversary programme at the Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling, which was postponed last year due to the pandemic, A Passion for Art: Matilda Hall, Collector and Curator honours the former PA to the University of Stirling’s first Principal Tom Cottrell, who helped to collect for the University, and later was integral to the founding of the charity Art in Healthcare. Highlights of the exhibition include works by Joan Eardley, Eduardo Paolozzi, Janka Malkowska, Andy Goldsworthy and Alan Davie. Matilda Hall was one of the first employees at the University in 1967 and later became the honorary first curator. Stirling is the only Scottish city in the running to become UK City of Culture 2025.
