At the heart of the Marchmont Estate, near Greenlaw in the Scottish Borders, the imposing ‘Grade A’ listed Palladian mansion Marchmont House is the setting for Conversations in Wood – an exciting joint exhibition and symposium in celebration of wood.
A collaboration involving Visual Arts Scotland, Marchmont House, The Scottish Gallery and Craft Scotland, at the core of the experience is a unique exhibition and symposium showcasing important contemporary makers who use wood within their creative practice.
Nineteen makers and artists will be showing their work within the context of the outstanding collection of Marchmont House, built in 1750 and containing some of the finest Georgian and Arts & Crafts interiors in Scotland.
