St Margaret’s performance, arts and heritage centre in Braemar is a unique venue that has breathed new life into a beautiful historic building over the past decade, delivering an exciting and varied programme of events throughout the year, including concerts, exhibitions, talks, tours, farmers’ markets and workshops. Their March offer is a three-part traditional music line-up featuring the Old Blind Dogs, Hamish Napier and Breabach. The Old Blind Dogs are rooted in the folk traditions of the North East of Scotland and have delighted audiences worldwide, multi-instrumentalist Hamish Napier brings a live performance of his award-winning album The Woods to Braemar, joined by two of Scotland’s finest musicians – Patsy Reid on fiddle and Innes Watson on guitar and viola; Breabach have won nominations for several prestigious awards for their combination of Highland traditional music and imaginative contemporary sensibility.
