Forth Lines in the John Hope Gateway at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is the result of a project in which 200 crafters of all ages and disciplines, professional and amateur alike, came together during lockdown to map out the Edinburgh and Fife coastline through artwork. The exhibition features 180 squares of artwork, each representing a square kilometre of the coastline. Each unique piece focuses on an aspect in which the crafter is particularly interested, such as conservation, climate change, beach littering, flora and fauna. This is the first full exhibition of the whole coastline, some parts of which may not exist in years to come.
