Malmaison hosts Aberdeen farmers’ market

locally-sourced produce and the popular farmers markets

Aberdeen’s farmers will be serenaded when they attend the Winter Farmers’ Market hosted by the city’s Malmaison hotel on 3 December, 2011. The hotel’s local suppliers will be showcasing their award-winning produce alongside the Head Chef’s delicious game pies and mulled wine. The hotel is committed to using locally-sourced produce and the popular farmers markets are an ideal way to highlight its suppliers who include Veitch Moir a family business run by Alan Tait (pictured).

To get everyone in the festive mood, the Aberdeen Chorale Society who will be performing a range of Christmas favourites. In “Young Apprentice” style, the Aberdeen Grammar School Young Enterprise group will also run two stalls. Proceeds from the event, which runs from 10am to 2pm will go to the Elizabeth Montgomerie Foundation. (– FL)
