Celebrating its twentieth birthday this year, the Edinburgh Macmillan Art Show makes a real difference by raising vital funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping to ensure that no-one faces cancer alone. 2022 sees a return to a live event at the city’s Tattoo Office on 5th and 6th November, and continuing online until 20th November. There will be over 180 pieces of art, (aggregating an estimated value of over £70,000) and at least half the value of each piece sold is donated to the charity, which supports cancer sufferers and their families at every step of their journeys.

David White, who visited the opening of the show, adds: it was great to see so many people at the opening of this exhibition. Some of the artists had come along too. There’s some fantastic pieces on show, large and small, by some great artists. And the pieces are reasonably-priced, which is great because every sale helps to raise funds for the vital work done by Macmillan. The friendly staff are on-hand to help, so purchasing is a doddle. The location – the Tattoo Office in Cockburn St – is right in the city centre, so getting there is easy.

Many thanks to Ruth Davidson for the photos.
