Inverewe Garden’s Sawyer Gallery is hosting an intriguing exhibition centred around a collaborative portrait of Mairi Sawyer, by Erlend Tait (painter) and Pamela Tait (printmaker), who were invited to create a portrait of Mairi, who was the inspiring figure who completed the Garden. The pair have produced drawings, paintings and prints based on the garden and the woman behind it, with the portrait – revealed at the launch of the exhibition at 2pm on Saturday 6th August – as its centrepiece.
