The Maclaurin Gallery in Ayr is reopening for 2022 by hosting Ayr Sketch Club‘s annual exhibition. Having been founded in 1901, the Club has been showcasing Ayrshire’s amateur and professional artists for over a century and its website spotlights the talents of its member artists, who meet every Friday evening in Alloway Village Hall Sept until March to discuss each other’s work, and enjoy demonstrations from professional artists. They also enjoy workshops and outdoor painting days during the summer months.
