Lynn Rodgie is very much inspired by her environment, especially the Scottish countryside which provides a never ending stream of ideas for her vibrant and exciting landscapes. Lynn works mainly from photograph and paints using acrylics as she “ enjoys the versatility of the medium”.
Lynn was a student at the Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen having been surrounded by art from a very young age. Her father, also an artists, has been very inspiring and encouraging towards Lynn and her passion and work. Some of her later influences include Scottish artists such as Lin Pattulo and James Fullerton. After obtaining her BA Hons degree in Graphic Design, Lynn worked as a designer in Glasgow before deciding to become a full time painter.
The exhibition is taking place at The Torrance Gallery in Edinburgh.
