Having welcomed travellers for at least two centuries, a Loch Lomondside hotel bar and restaurant has had a £2.9 million facelift and is set to reopen soon. The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel, in the village of Luss, will boast 14 stylish en-suite bedrooms complete with state-of-the art technology (LCD TVs, iPod docks, Wi-Fi) and sumptuous and eclectic furnishings.
Recreating the atmosphere of an authentic 19th century inn but with modern comforts, the hotel celebrates a rich history which includes a visit by poet William Wordsworth. The traditionally-styled bar and restaurant, with open log fires, will be the heart of the hotel, providing guests with a selection of fresh, homemade dishes prepared with local produce. Guests can also relax and enjoy a refreshing drink in the secluded beer garden.
