For the first time in over thirty years, Pitlochry Festival Theatre is staging a glittering new production of Noël Coward’s Private Lives. The celebrated comedy follows Elyot and Amanda, who were once married to each other. They find themselves on honeymoon with their new partners in the same hotel in the South of France admiring the view from adjoining balconies. Their initial horror disappears as, in no time at all, they are sharing cocktails, a romantic serenade and rekindling their previous passion. Caring nothing for scandal, they elope to Amanda’s Paris apartment. But did they really make a mistake in divorcing?
