In the picturesque Forfar village of Glamis, close to the famous castle, Glamis Gallery opened in November last year. Sited in five adjoining workers’ cottages, the Gallery showcases work by carefully-selected Scottish artists, showing a wide variety of original art and craft to suit all budgets – paintings, printmaking, sculpture, metalwork, ceramics, textiles, jewellery and glass. The Gallery, run jointly by several artists, also offers workshops and classes.
The next exhibition will be a retrospective of the artist Linda Masson (1943-2020), who sadly died earlier this year. It will feature sculpture, paintings and sketches from her private collection, offering an insight into her practice as sculptor and painter.
