Graham Wands is a regularly-exhibited artist at Dundee’s Gallery Q, and is now the subject of a feature exhibition: Impressions of Dundee features views of the city centre, the Tay bridges over the famous silvery river, and imagined historic views, all in his readily recognisable style. A skilled watercolourist, he has the ability to bring atmosphere to all of his paintings, adding a romanticism to ordinary street views.

Born in Irvine, Ayrshire, Graham has painted and drawn all his life. After living in the Borders, where he taught art in the local community and exhibited in local galleries, he moved to Perthshire in 1995 and works from a studio in Alyth from where he takes workshops and demonstrates watercolour techniques as well as preparing his own work for exhibition. There will be an opportunity to meet him on 5th February at the Gallery.

Alongside Graham there will be work to view by Catriona Millar, Fiona Sturrock, Helen Welsh, James Potter, John Paul Raine, Jackie Cartwright, Frank To, and Peter Davis, and the Gallery is welcoming ceramic sculptor Sandra Wallace, who will exhibit there for the first time.
