The Scottish Gallery continues its programme of exhibitions with a welcome back to Lachlan Goudie for his second solo exhibition at the Gallery. Framed fairy-tale terms and far-off lands, Once Upon a Time is immersed in the natural world, inspired by his lockdown experiences of nature’s vocabulary and changing seasons, visiting the garden to find seasonal flowers for still life paintings, taking in The Arctic, Berwickshire, Dorset and the Glasgow shipyards.
An accompanying catalogue is available from the Gallery and an introductory film can be viewed on the Gallery’s website.
Also showing: exhibitions of work by Polish-Scottish painter Aleksander ?yw, English ceramicist William Plumptre, and two Celtic Connections exhibitions of basket-craft and jewellery.
