The smash hit musical Fame is on tour for its 30thanniversary, currently showing at the King’s Theatre in Glasgow as part of a new revamped UK tour. Based on the 1980 pop culture film, Fame The Musical following the live of students at the New York High School for the Performing Arts as they navigate their way through studying, exploring their creativity and young love.

The show features the Oscar-winning title song which is one of the highlights of the show. It was sang and performed very well and really started the show off. It takes place in the first half and gets you excited about what’s to come.

Fame is light and fun show to see, however there are quite a few sexual, drug and mental health references and we encourage you to stick with the recommended 12+.

Fame the Musical has seen seven West End runs since opening on Broadway in 1988 and continues to be one of the best-loved musicals across the world. Performed extremely well by all the cast it would be difficult to pick a favourite! The actors played, sang and had instruments throughout the show, everything was done to the highest of standards. This version doesn’t disappoint and makes for a fun night-out.
