Edinburgh’s Graystone Gallery continues its exciting programme with an exhibition by painter Kerry Souter, who skilfully evokes the dynamic, ever-changing interplay between land and sea, in an exploration of the Scottish coast, evoking its moods – from peaceful tranquility to wild wrath.

A Kiss of the Sea is a major exploration of Kerry’s influences and inspirations: born in Dundee, she studied Textile Design at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, taking different career-turns before settling on painting and exhibiting professionally in 2020. She lives in Ayr and is represented by several UK galleries, with work in private collections around Britain and abroad.

The Gallery has produced two videos to accompany the exhibition, showing Kerry at work:

Part One

Part Two

The Gallery supports the Own Art finance scheme, which makes purchasing artworks more affordable through payment by instalments.
