Kilmorack Gallery has been keeping its exhibition space – a converted church in Beauly, near Inverness – busy with several concurrent mini-exhibitions for August.

Five new paintings by Beth Robertson Fiddes catch the chaotic and beautiful power of sea meeting land, and three new works by Patricia Cain, inspired by a visit to Australia, have drawing at their core and invite microscopic investigation. Paul Barnes‘ eight new works – world within, world without – are the result of painstaking painting on a plastered surface, expressing a hidden atavistic inner world, while Eribol Creatures by Lotte Glob are fantastical speculations about what creatures lie beneath the surface of her Loch Eribol home. Peter White‘s three new works include painted landscapes and a bowl, and Liz Knox‘s slew of new paintings bring her deft touch with colour and composition to the eye.

The gallery’s website has a Gallery in a Box virtual tour.
