Art Off The Square, Kilbarchan’s long-running annual art exhibition, returns this year in tribute to its founder and organiser Myra Grant, who sadly passed away earlier this year.
The event has been an annual fundraising fixture in the artists’ village of Kilbarchan for some 26 years and thanks to Myra, husband George and a small group of dedicated volunteers, has become an established part of the west of Scotland art scene. This year’s show features close to 200 creative works by some of the region’s leading artists, alongside local amateur supporters, and includes three pieces by Myra herself, one of which is pictured above, as well as displays of hand-made jewellery, ceramics and woodwork. A popular pop-up tea room will be open for the duration of the exhibition, offering refreshments and home-baking.
All proceeds support the work of Kilbarchan Parish Church.
