With a background in sculpture and theatre design, Kate Bentley took up painting professionally in 1999. Originally from the Lake District, she is based on the Scottish Solway coast, and an elected member of the Society of Women Artists, with work in private and public collections.

Currently she has exhibitions in England and Scotland: until 24th December, Points of View group exhibition at Upfront Gallery in Penrith, The Whitehouse Gallery Kirkcudbright until 7th Jan, and Kirkcudbright Galleries’ Dumfries and Galloway Fine Art Society exhibition until 19th Feb, and Edinburgh’s Open Eye gallery features her work in its On a Small Scale online exhibition until 23rd December.
