Ever wondered where to get the perfect pre-Tattoo supper in Edinburgh? Obviously somewhere near the Castle would be ideal. This year for the first time Café Hub at the top of the Royal Mile is offering some of its popular day-time dishes for ticket-holders to what is one of Edinburgh’s greatest spectacles.
The two-course menu has both Scottish and international flavours. On the national side there’s a salmon platter followed up with Hub favourite haggis, neeps and tatties or the more adventurous Cullen skink with grilled smoked haddock and champ potato. Some overseas visitor may find the spice and ginger glazed pork belly with pak choi and soft noodle salad starter or the roasted vegetable lasagne main more familiar. With tea or coffee and glass of wine or bottle of beer included the £22 price tag seems just the ticket.
