BirdsNest Gallery in Edinburgh’s latest exhibition, Flaming June, highlights the work of Scottish artists Andrew Fitzpatrick and MaryAnne Hunt, alongside distinguished pieces of art from the Gallery’s collection.
Andrew’s portraiture rings with a drifting psychological resonance, and a sense of mystery of place in his canvases’ shadowy corridors and stairways, as a setting for love for his family.

MaryAnne Hunt’s versatility is that she can produce art that creates a sense of unease as well as nostalgia, depicting representations of memories of lost childhood, and the complexities of motherhood, love and absence.
The Gallery has a number of events upcoming, including a Poetry Reading on 9th July at 2:30 – 4:30pm, and a Piano Recital on 17th July, 3:00-5:00pm
