Featured artist at Larks Gallery in Ballater is Hazel McAllister, who draws her inspiration from nature and her surroundings, and living on the Aberdeenshire coast offers ample access to dramatic seascapes and landscapes. An Aberdeen native, Hazel studied with The Open College of the Arts, graduating at Bucks New University, and has paintings in corporate and private collections, nationally and internationally. She works in a variety of media and across a wide range of subject matter, including flowers, trees and still life, also producing boldly colourful abstract and semi-abstract pieces.
