Online and welcoming email and website enquiries, Gallery Q Dundee is hosting a new exhibition by the established Dundee artist Jonathan Hood. With hidden narratives open to interpretation by their viewers, the paintings always involve figures, often in cars or playing instruments, and the distinctive style and palette are instantly recognisable.
Three artists new to the gallery are also on show: John Martin Fulton is Glasgow-based and creates bold expressionist figurative paintings. Gwen Adair is from Dumfriesshire, known for her figurative painting but now moving more into birds and landscapes, as demonstrated in this show. And Perth-based Nicola McBride, who is originally from Dundee, meeting the challenging medium of coloured biros with astonishing results. Also on show are regular gallery artists Douglas Roulston, Ann Ross RSW, John Paul Raine, Margaret Evans, Anne Russell, and Anne Skinner.
The gallery has introduced the free Art Visualiser app which enables the viewer to try an artwork virtually in their home setting. Free delivery to UK addresses is available, and the Gallery supports the Own Art hire purchase scheme.
