Born in Edinburgh, Gill Smith trained at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. This was followed a year later by a post graduate course in art therapy at St Albans.
Gill specialises in watercolours of flowers, still life, landscape and animals. Her work has been exhibited at The RSW 136th Annual Winter Exhibition and throughout the UK and Spain.
Gill has also been commissioned by a number of card companies to design greeting cards. From Gill’s experience of the Pittenweem Arts Festival she set up the Colony of Artists annual festival in Edinburgh in 2005.
