The Baird Institute in Cumnock, Ayrshire, is hosting an exhibition by artist Jack Rigg, whose oil landscapes capture the historic journey between Mossgiel near Mauchline and Ellisland near Dumfries, a route famously travelled by Robert Burns.

Born in Edinburgh in 1945 and rooted in Ayrshire since 1954, Rigg’s technically precise paintings invite viewers to imagine the narratives within.
