A new exhibition at Edinburgh PrintmakersKinship is a celebration of the ways each of us builds and interacts with our communities and the feelings of belonging relating to the world around us, such as with family, friends, or one’s roots in a particular landscape, or how we share an affinity with those around us. Comprising 90 works by 63 members, it’s the second annual members’ show at the Printmakers’ Castle Mills base, and touches on the importance of working amongst peers in the facility’s Print Studio, and with its wider community, such as the locale of the city’s Fountainbridge area. Work is featured across a broad spectrum of print media such as paper, and casts a wide net over what constitutes community.

This year is the 30th year that the current Studio Director Alastair Clark has been working for Edinburgh Printmakers, and a special selection of works with career highlights will be on display to mark the occasion.

The Printmaker’s shop supports the Own Art finance scheme, which makes purchasing works more affordable by spreading the cost over 10 months at 0% interest.
