An immersive exhibition and installation, Exposure at Dunoon Burgh Hall is a creative dialogue between photographer, musician and sound artist Giles Perring, and filmmaker and painter Andy Metcalf, both based on Jura. The work, which originated on the island, examines ‘the brute nature of landscape, human subjectivity and the critical importance of collaboration and sociality in shaping our creations’. A wide range of media are used: video, painting, 35mm and medium-format photography, text, performance, sound and music, depicting the many aspects of experiencing life in a harsh island environment.
