Aiming to create a contemporary student art community in the city and its University, the Edinburgh Gallery Society provides a platform to exhibit work in a professional art environment, bridging the gap between student and professional artistic practice. Insight. is an opportunity to view works by upcoming and talented artists represented by the Society, showcasing their myriad perspectives and experiences.

Highlighting how a city’s diversity brings it together, the show eschews the traditional classifications of form and theme, focusing instead on an immersive, interconnected visual experience, bringing to the fore the diverse but unified community of artists in the city.

The exhibition is hosted in collaboration with Edinburgh RAG, and a portion of proceeds will go towards the Pilton Community Health Project and FreshStart, as part of the Society’s continued efforts to decrease inequalities across the cultural sector in Edinburgh, addressing long-term poverty, health inequalities, and supporting people setting up home following homelessness.
