Cupcake vending machine at St Enoch Centre in Glasgow

Innovative takeaway

Time to marvel at how things change in the St Enoch Centre in Glasgow. The sight of an automated cupcake vending machine illustrates how far the concept of takeaway food can be extended. Just along from the shopping centre’s food court, this ultimate takeaway service is provided by Bradford’s Bakers, one of Glasgow’s oldest family firms.

Claire Bradford said: “We might be a fourth generation family firm, but launching the first bakery ATM in the UK in Glasgow shows that we’ve never stopped looking for fresh ways to service our customers. It will be restocked each morning with a choice of seven cupcake flavours. Any cake dispensed will be freshly baked from our local bakery that morning.”
