Inception is an exciting new art sales exhibition showcasing the work of hand-picked British artists over a September weekend in ‘found spaces’ within Dalkeith Palace; these include many Scottish figures such as artists Christine Clark and Jonathan Freemantle, artists / textile designers Hatti Pattison and Taisir Gibreel, and sculptor Frippy Jameson. Five miles from Edinburgh city centre, Dalkeith Country Park is a 1,000-acre estate – home to Dalkeith Palace since its construction in 1702, the Fort Douglas Adventure Park, and the award-winning store, restaurant and wellbeing lab Restoration Yard. The Park boasts waymarked cycling and walking routes, and a regular programme of activities for all the family. Tickets are now on sale, £2.50.
