Five miles from Edinburgh city centre, Dalkeith Country Park is a 1,000-acre estate – home to Dalkeith Palace since its construction in 1702, the Fort Douglas Adventure Park, and the award-winning store, restaurant and wellbeing lab Restoration Yard. The Park boasts waymarked cycling and walking routes, and a regular programme of activities for all the family. Tickets are now on sale, £2.50.
