Gail Turpin: Nesting at Upright Gallery in Edinburgh features a collection of work made during a period of unexpected ‘nesting’ over the last two years, when Gail ‘slowed down’ to closely observe found feathers and nests and make studies of their beautiful and complex structures before developing pieces on paper, wood and fabric through drawing, painting, monoprinting and collage.
