Two painters with contrasting styles are showcased in the current exhibition at Artisan& in Aberfeldy. Lynsay Hay: Views of the Tay features expressive landscapes painted from imagination, allowing her to create colourful interpretations. Using brushes, palette knives and found tools, Lynsay paints in layers, then scrapes them back before adding translucent and opaque colours to for more depth. Gail Stirling Robertson: Little Crooked House perfectly captures her quirky, crooked lines with a collection of acrylic paintings which puts a slightly different perspective on well known landmarks, murky woods and phone and boxes.
