Glasgow Print Studio is presenting new works by artist-printmaker and Glasgow School of Art alumna Hetty Haxworth. Many of the prints draw inspiration from the Giant’s Causeway – the rock formation of 40,000 basalt columns on the north-coast of Northern Ireland, famous for its pronounced interlocking geometry – and Hetty has charted the ever-changing colour and shapes as the landscape interacts with weather and light. Other work in the exhibition draws on her rural Aberdeenshire home – lochs, delicate ice formations in winter, moons and cascading water.
Also showing is a series of work by printmaker and former art teacher John Moody, combining type, poetry and printmaking in a reflection of the last 37 years or art-making, the River Clyde, and looking outward in confinement.

These are complemented by Between Islands – an exhibition mounted in partnership with Graphic Studio Dublin showcasing three artists from each Studio – Glasgow and Dublin – working in land and seascapes: Gregor Smith, Lin Chau, Marion MacPhee (Glasgow Print Studio) Yoko Akino, Elke Thönnes and Niall Naessens (Graphic Studio Dublin).
