One of Glasgow’s newest arts spaces, Sogo Arts gallery arose from the magazine and collective of the same name, promoting the city’s ever-burgeoning creative and arts community. Opening the gallery after lockdown, the Unlikely Clan of this exhibition comprises five diverse and widely-exhibited Glasgow-based artists, coming together as a group in the name of figurative painting and its power to tell stories: Cherylene Dyer, Frank McNab, Todd Garner, Jane Gardiner and Nichol Wheatley are continuing the long tradition of figurative painting from the city, starting with the Glasgow Boys in the mid-19th century and the New Glasgow Boys in the 1980s.
The gallery’s website also features two 3D walkthroughs, of exhibitions by David Pratt and Brian McFie.
