Both physical and digital presentations make up the 2021 Glasgow School of Art Postgraduate Showcase, which features work by over 300 students across nineteen one-year taught Masters programmes. Projects range from an elegiac film on abandoned properties in the Outer Hebrides to sustainable interior design to an open source knit design to encourage communal making. From the School of Fine Art, Polish painter Greta Martyniuk’s watercolour, ink and oil works are characterised by their unsettling and surreal imagery depicting the dehumanising aspect of the recovery process. Focusing on the topic of trauma, she produces spontaneous compositions showing figures in distressing situations. The launch of the exhibition, at 6pm on 9th Sept, can be viewed online at gsapostgradshowcase.net.
Other graduate work by the School is available online.
