29th May – 31st December
Glasgow School of Art‘s 2020 Graduate Showcase is showing as a digital platform from 29th May. With one of the UK’s largest graduate communities in the visual and creative arts and architecture, GSA’s international standing has soared, alongside Glasgow as one of Europe’s foremost creative capitals, and this is a chance to view its graduate work across the disciplines including Design, Architecture, Innovation, Simulation and Visualisation, and Fine Art.
This year the emphasis is online engagement: GSA’s global creative network extends to 22,000 students, staff, alumni, partners, employers and industry and these, as well as well as the wider public, are invited to come together online to ‘look, listen, watch, read, review, engage, follow and connect’ with its graduating students’ individual Showcases of work. The timeline of work is organic too – some work is still in process, some complete, along with critical and community reviews and live events, performances and happenings.
Each digital Showcase will be kept updated through 2020 and 2021, allowing graduates to keep sharing new work as they are able to produce it. GSA has given a commitment to support physical exhibitions and presentations of work as part of Graduate Showcase over 2020 and 21 once social distancing restrictions allow.
