From Turner Prize winners and nominees to recent graduates and complete beginners, thousands of artists from Scotland and beyond have made prints at Glasgow Print Studio (GPS) since 1972; an exhibition, The Love of Print celebrates these 50 years of printmaking, at the city’s Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.

Near to 225 works are on display from more than 130 artists -the list of whom reads like a Who’s Who of Scottish art from the past five decades – such as Ciara Phillips, Martin Boyce, Alasdair Gray, John Byrne, Ken Currie, Adrian Wiszniewski, Claire Barclay, Barbara Rae, and Alison Watt; but that really only scratches the surface.

A feature of the exhibition is the Here and Now section of 50 newly-commissioned works by artists currently working in and using the printmaking facilities at GPS, and there are videos showing the process each artist undergoes, plus films chronicling the development of the institution.

Admission is ticketed, but no booking required.
