Europe’s largest winter music festival, Celtic Connections is Glasgow’s annual folk, roots and world music event, celebrating Celtic music and its connections with cultures across the globe. Responding to the current public health situation, for 2021 the Celtic Connections team and partners have put together a digital-first festival. With the full programme now announced, the Festival is gearing-up to present concerts using its online platform, every night between Friday 15th January and Tuesday 2nd February 2021, with top-quality performances from some of the biggest names on the Scottish music scene and beyond, with booking via the festival’s website. Among the numerous highlights for 2021 are Aidan O’Rourke 365, Blazin’ Fiddles, Blue Rose Code, Breabach, Eddi Reader, Edwin Morgan 100th, José González, Kris Drever, Karen Matheson, Rhiannon Giddens with Francesco Turrisi, SCO with Karine Polwart & Pekka Kuusisto, Shooglenifty, and Transatlantic Sessions.
